Greenbelt Health is a physician-led internal medicine clinic offering complete, evidence-based comprehensive primary care for adults. 

Greenbelt Health’s Mission

To deliver comprehensive, preventive, and evidence-based primary care that guides each patient through their unique health journey — from prevention and early detection to chronic disease management and lifelong wellness. Greenbelt Health will focus on risk assessments, prevention, chronic disease management, and patient education, using data-driven tools and current clinical guidelines to ensure high-quality, consistent care.

Meet the Doctor

Meet Dr. Charu Sawhney

Dr. Charu Sawhney, DO, MPH has board certifications in internal medicine and general preventive medicine physician and is the founder/medical director of Greenbelt Health. She brings over a decade and half of clinical experience in outpatient primary care.

After completing residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas she spent ten years practicing medicine in Houston at two prominent community health centers - Hope Clinic with the Asian American Health Coalition and Legacy Community Health.

Since 2020, Dr. Sawhney has been practicing in Round Rock, first at a large non-profit institution and then a for-profit private entity.

At Greenbelt Health, Dr. Sawhney is building a practice centered on prevention, lifestyle education and implementation, and fostering a healthier community environment to create lasting wellness for generations. She plans to use her training in both internal medicine and general preventive medicine to provide evidence-based, guideline-directed care across a broad spectrum of adult health needs — from chronic disease management to preventive care and wellness optimization.

Dr. Sawhney’s vision is to create a practice that blends the rigor of modern medicine with the warmth of personalized care, helping each patient make sustainable, informed progress on their health journey.

In her free time, Dr. Sawhney enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, two children and friends.
